From Our Founder – Mr. Dinakar George

Sigaram School’s mission to promote the Tamil language is not just about teaching words—it’s about nurturing identity, culture, and belonging. Twenty-one years ago, our school was founded with a dream: to create a space where children could grow not only in knowledge but also in connection to their roots. Tamil, one of the world’s oldest and richest languages, is at the heart of that vision. By helping our children speak, read, and love Tamil, we are planting the seeds of heritage in their hearts. Through stories, songs, and everyday conversations, we are not only preserving a language but also empowering the next generation to carry forward its beauty with confidence and joy. A language is not just words; it carries our culture, values, and identity. Sigaram is nurturing this legacy for the next generation—in America, with humility!

School Principal – Priya Dinakar

Born in Chennai, India, and raised in a family of educators, I was inspired early on by both my parents, who are dedicated teachers. After completing my studies in M.Sc. and B.Ed., I moved to the U.S. in the year 2000 and settled in Colorado in 2003 with my wonderful husband, Dinakar George, and two children, Jeffrey Pradeep and Jerome Praveen. As a proud mom, wife, and community member, I’ve found joy in giving back—whether through volunteering at food banks or teaching Tamil to the next generation. My journey is rooted in culture, service, and connection.
